MTLT Career Change Scholarship
$2,000, apply 1 February - 28 February; 1 June - 30 June

This scholarship is for adults already in the workforce who are enrolled or intending to enrol in a course of study to change careers. The scholarship provides financial assistance toward course fees for recognised study and training programmes by an approved education provider in New Zealand.

MTLT Tenant Development Scholarship
$1,000, open all year

To recognise the contribution MTLT tenants make to Masterton by employing and supporting local people through leasing community-owned property. This scholarship is for costs associated with a work-related training course for employees of Trust tenants.

MTLT Alan MacDiarmid Science Scholarship
$3,000 over three years

Named for the Masterton-born, Nobel Prize-winning chemist, the MTLT Alan MacDiarmid Science Scholarship is awarded to Wairarapa’s top performing science or mathematics student who is going on to related tertiary study at a New Zealand university. Chemistry is a compulsory subject to be eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is not open for application – students are recommended by the Wairarapa Secondary Principals’ Association.

MTLT Art Scholarship
$3,000 over three years

An annual scholarship awarded to the region’s top performing art student, who is going on to study an arts-related course at the tertiary level in New Zealand. Previously called the Golden C’Art Scholarship. This scholarship is not open for application – students are recommended by the Wairarapa Secondary Principals’ Association.

$3,000 over three years

Available from 2023, the MTLT Humanities Scholarship is awarded to a top-performing student, who is going on to a humanities-related subject at the tertiary level in New Zealand. This scholarship is not open for application – students are recommended by the Wairarapa Secondary Principals’ Association.
